Mefin, i Gymru yn ôl
Mefin Davies Other books by Mefin Davies
This book answers the question why Mefin Davies, Welsh international hooker and proud Welshman, had to play in England. We are told of the way in which he was treated by the WRU and Wales' regional teams prior to his move. He describes his feelings when the Celtic Warriors team was abolished. He played the following season for Neath - the only Welsh international player who didn't play for a regional team in Wales. After his move to play for Gloucester and Leicester he describes his efforts to gain a place in these two prominent teams. He also tells of how he, his wife Angharad and his family coped with living in England. This entertaining book is easy to read - which tells us a lot about Mefin and the professional game today.
